Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23
Are you living a life that others are craving? God desires us to live lives that are both good to others and good for others. In Christ, our lives can be tasty--so attractive because of Christ that they draw others toward Him. What are the characteristics of that kind of life? The answers are found in two magnificent verses in Galatians commonly called "The Fruit of the Spirit."
The word for fruit in the New Testament indicates that these aspects are not individual characteristics, but all one "fruit"--we will reflect all of these as we live in and for Christ. What would our homes, families, lives, children and churches look like were they filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control? Dr. Merritt dives into the Fruit in this nine-part series, looking at each aspects both individually and as a part of the whole. These messages are suitable for a foundational series, or can be taught effectively on an individual basis.
