David. He's one of the most interesting characters of the Bible. David is mentioned in 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 1 Chronicles, and seventy-five Psalms. He is the first person named in the New Testament after Jesus Christ and he is the last person named in the New Testament except for Jesus Christ. That alone should tell us that King David is worthy of some serious study on the part of any one who is serious about God. We are going to study King David and look at him through the lens of the four personalities that figured most prominently in his life.
