Scriptures: 1 Samuel 18:1-4, Proverbs 18:24
Friends. That one word, perfectly describes the relationship between two men, David and Jonathan. They had what one could argue is the most famous friendship in the history of the world. David and Jonathan teach us the value, the virtue, and the victory that comes from having and being a true friend. You will become just like the people you spend time with. David was a more godly man for having Jonathan and Jonathan was a more godly man for having David. They loved each other more than they loved themselves. They lifted each other to go higher in life and they lead each other closer to God.
