Scriptures: Habakkuk 3, Psalm 34:10, 68:20, Romans 8:18
If you have come to a true knowledge of God and if you’ve developed a serious relationship with God, if you’ve determined to walk with God, there will be times when your faith will be on the ropes. There will be times when waves of doubt will overflow the boat of your faith. There will be times when your relationship with God comes down to one word with a question mark at the end. Questions like "why?"
In this message, Dr. Merritt explains what happens when we take our eyes off of our circumstances and forget about what we thinks is best and we put our focus back where it belongs which is on God, and His plan, and His purpose, and His priorities. We will follow Habakkuk as he is no longer doubting that God has a purpose in crushing the nation of Judah. He is no longer doubting God’s method of using an even more wicked nation to do so. He is now defending God’s ways and God’s workings.
"If you are doubting, right now, whether God is really involved in your life or if you are doubting whether God has fallen asleep at the wheel, if you are doubting right now whether God is even listening to your prayers, then look to the past. If you think God is not taking care of things today just look back and see how God took care of things yesterday. That is what Habakkuk does." --Dr. Merritt
