With respect to war, some hold to the view known as "pacifism". This is the belief that it is
never right for a Christian to support any war. A second view is known as "activism". This view states that the Christian is duty-bound to obey the government, always go to war and always participate in a war, whenever the government says a war ought to be fought no questions asked. A third view is "selectivism." This view states that Christians should support the government when a war is just. In this message, Dr. Merritt explores the issue of war from a biblical perspective.
"Through the Old Testament, you will find example after example where God commanded His people to go to war. When you look at some of the greatest heroes of the Bible--Joshua, David, Gideon, or Samson--these were all warriors." --Dr. Merritt
