Scriptures: Genesis 41, Psalm 75:6-7
Joseph was a dreamer. His dreams form an amazing backdrop for a story of God's provision. Alone, stuck in prison in a foreign land, for a crime he did not commit, Joseph waited--for two years. In this message, Dr. Merritt focuses not on Joseph's dreams, but on how God's timing and provision were perfect in Joseph's life, even though the wait was long. The lessons we learn from this example point us to a God who will exalt Himself through our lives, when we are willing to wait on His provision.
"We need to learn a lesson from young Joseph today: It is easier to forget God in the good times than it is to remember God in the bad times. What made Joseph so great was that he was the same when he had everything as when he had nothing. The Joseph who was focused on God in the prison remained focused on God in the palace." --Dr. Merritt
