Scriptures: Genesis 1, 2:7, Ecclesiastes 3:13, 5:19, 12:7, Revelation 20:6
The light that shines through your window by day and the light of the moon and the stars that we enjoy by night are reminders every day of how our God is a giving God. His giving began with the very creation we now live in. It is an awesome and incredible gift, one we experience each and every day.God didn’t have to do it. He didn’t have to create a world to live in and He didn’t have to create us to live in it. He wasn’t lonely or needy and no one forced Him to do it. The fact is, God gave the world to us and then gave us life to live in it. The light that you live every day and the way you live that life--working, making money, eating, drinking, enjoying the good things of life--all of that is a part of God's creation gift.
"The Bible lets it be known at the very beginning that we did not evolve from the beasts of the fields. We were created out of the dust of the ground. This is God’s way of telling us that we are distinct and different from animals. From the very beginning, we find out that God has a special relation to humans and humans have a special relation to God. When you read the first two chapters of Genesis you will find that God named man, but man named the animals." --Dr. Merritt
