Scriptures: Genesis 3:15, 3:1-7, 2:17, 3:24, Isaiah 7:14, 53:5, Romans 16:20
When Adam and Eve brought sin into the world, the created an enemy that man could not defeat. Yet as early as Genesis 3, God reveals He has a plan: to bring a warrior into the world to fight sin for us. Going all the way through to the last verse of the Bible, you could say the story of the Bible is all about a warrior--a warrior who coincidentally is also known as the Prince of Peace. He is the only warrior that is capable of getting us out of this war victoriously and bringing to us a peace that will last forever. Dr. Merritt teaches about a war that Adam started by eating a piece of fruit, and one that Jesus finished through His perfect victory on the cross.
"You don’t have a chance apart from God. Some of you who absolutely miserable. You are hooked on pornography, doing drugs, sleeping around, alcohol has a death-grip on you and you keep trying to quit and you can’t. What you don’t understand is you are facing a foe you can’t beat." --Dr. Merritt
