Scripture: Psalm 23
The twenty-third Psalm is perhaps the best known and most beloved of all of the Psalms. Psalm 23 is actually a song, and one that gives "good vibrations". When the chips are down, times are tough, the world is rough, the news is bad and things are collapsing all around you, there's a natural yearning for turning to this Psalm because it is so hopeful. It brings hope for the hurting, the hopeless, the helpless, and encouragement for the discouraged and the weak. In this six-part message series, Dr. Merritt unlocks the wonderful message of this Psalm verse by verse. As we study the Lord Who is our Shepherd, we find truths--and a God--we can cling to in life when it seems like there's nothing else that we can hold on to.
