Ask yourself this question: If you were to stand before the world and be asked, "What are you more proud of than anything else?", what would your answer be? Some would say it would be your family, others money, still others their accomplishments. That is when pride is wrong. The great danger of religion is that through religion we will come to know about God without ever coming to know God--our pride in God will overcome a real relationship with God. The width of your knowledge about God is no gage of the depth of your knowledge of God. In this message, Dr. Merritt explores when pride is wrong, and why it is wrong, before journeying to discover when pride can be right and God-honoring.
"There's one other thing that we do not know that puts a limit on all that we do know, and that is the future. The most brilliant Ph.D at Harvard University does not even know what is going to happen in the next sixty seconds. That is why no wise man should glory in his wisdom." --Dr. Merritt
