There are certain years that are important to all of us. In Isaiah's life, the year that King Uzziah died was also the year he came face to face with the King of Kings and Lord of this universe. Looking through Isaiah's eyes, we can understand how to see Him correctly and know Him intimately. In this message, Dr. Merritt contemplates the holiness of God, what it means for sinful men, and the hope that we have as we commit ourselves to follow God fully.
"When Isaiah looked up, he saw clearly what we need to see in these troubled days in which we live and that is--God is on the throne, He is in complete control. He is the Sovereign One. We may face terrorist attacks, cultural dissipation, increasing persecution and spiritual hostility, but God is on the throne. When disaster strikes, God is on the throne. When doctors say 'It is cancer', God is in control. When the boss says, 'You're fired!' God is on the throne, and God is in control." --Dr. Merritt
