One of these days we all will stand in the true Supreme Court. We will all be arraigned before the Supreme Judge in His courtroom. The only way we will come out of that confrontation victorious depends upon whose client we are. There is something very strange about this courtroom. There is no jury, no case, neither debate nor deliberation. It is simply a judge and defendant, but we can qualify for a defense attorney. If we qualify for a defense attorney, the defense attorney is the Judge himself. This raises the question: When we stand before the Supreme Judge in the Supreme Court, will He also serve as my Defense Attorney? Will we be His client? In this message from Zechariah, Dr. Merritt details a fascinating courtroom scene to help us understand how sinners fare in the ultimate eternal trial.
"Did you know the Word of God never tells us to fight the devil? We are told to resist him, but never to fight him. How do you resist the devil? You let Jesus do the fighting. The point to remember is, if God is for us, it does not matter who is against us, even if it is the devil himself. Romans 8:33, 'Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.' When God brings His gavel down and says, 'Not Guilty', it doesn't matter what others say." --Dr. Merritt
