Scriptures: Exodus 18:13-27
Are you stressed? Work, relationships, finances, wars, terror, the economy, parenting and family issues--it seems all of life is filled with stress points that have nearly everyone living at the end of their rope. If you think about it, stress is a result of being under one of two things. You are either under pressure or you are under problems. When you don’t handle pressure well you experience stress. When you don’t handle problems well you experience depression. In this message, Dr. Merritt talks about the roots of stress, and how to deal with stress from a biblical perspective.
"If you are under a lot of stress right now, particularly if it is related to the pressures you are under you need to step back and see, first of all, what is causing those pressures. Then, you also ought to evaluate whether or not you are the one that ought to be handling those pressures at all. You’ve got to learn the art of separation. That is, how to separate pressures only you can handle from pressures that other people should and could handle." --Dr. Merritt
