Not every restaurant serves steak, seafood, or my favorite vegetable—grits; but every restaurant serves bread. Bread is not a food that belongs to a particular region or a particular country. It comes in all shapes and sizes. In Mexico, it may be a tortilla. In New York, it may be a bagel. In the South, it may be a biscuit. Furthermore, bread is eaten by almost everyone every day. There are certain foods that are in season only at certain times of the year. There is certain seafood that is only available at certain times of the year. You only drink eggnog at Christmas.
