One of the biggest obstacles to living out a productive Christian life is familiarity. We become so familiar with the words and phrases of our faith that they can sometimes lose their meaning. We allow this to happen without even realizing we've done so. We stop paying attention to where we're going and how we're supposed to get there...and we get off track. Sometimes we just end up a little off course. Other times, we end up at destinations that are so far from where we planned to go, that we're not sure how to get back. Either way, we've missed the mark.
Thankfully, none of this catches God by surprise. He's planned for and made every provision for our journey as a believer. He's the ultimate navigation system! Not only does He understand where we're going, He planned out the trip before we even began, and made everything available to us to ensure a productive and successful journey.
In Road Rules, Dr. Merritt encourages you to take a look around and double-check where you are on your journey. Through this 4-part series, he examines those items that can get us off course, hinder our progress or stop us all together--and how to make those necessary course corrections.
