Scriptures: Joshua 1:1-9 Mark 8:36
How would you define success. There are over 7,500 popular books on the topic of success. But, much of what the world calls success is really failure in disguise. Everybody wants to be successful and nobody wants to be known as a failure. For many, it's surprising to realize that the Bible talks about success. God does want us to be successful--but by His own definition. In this message, Dr. Merritt unpacks the desire for success, and how aligning ourselves with God's design for success leads us to real, lasting and meaningful lives that are filled with success.
"The same God that promised His presence to Joshua promises His presence to us. God’s promises are not limited to people in the past and it is not altered by time. What is important about a promise is not when it is made, but Who makes it. The same God who was with Moses and the same God who was with Joshua is also with you if you have a personal relationship with Him. God is with you wherever you go. That is why you should never, ever hesitate to go anywhere that God tells you to go, because when God tells you to go somewhere He is not sending you somewhere, He is taking you somewhere." --Dr. Merritt
