Scripture: Matthew 6:11-13
We all have needs. We all have problems only God can solve and questions only God can answer. With the first two words of Matthew 6:11, "Give us", there is a shift in emphasis in the Lord's Prayer, our model prayer. The first part of the prayer focuses on God and His nature. The focus now shifts to us and our needs. Jesus told us that we are to ask for the Father to meet our present needs, to pardon us for our past sins and to guide us in the future. We've got to open up and let God know that we need Him in every stage of our lives.
