In today’s climate of turmoil and uncertainty, threatening and incapacitating feelings run rampant. Yet the God who created your emotions has also given you everything you need to navigate them. Scriptures:1 Thessalonians 4:1-8, Hebrews 13:4
Sexual purity--it's uncool, unrealistic and probably a few other "un-" things. It's also absolutely demanded by God. According to God and His Word, any sex outside of marriage is sin. In our sexually-charged society, that is a tall order for many to accept. We can see the results of this casual attitude toward sex in the institution of marriage is declining, sexually transmitted diseases increasing, and more children born into a world without the stability provided by a two-parent family. Dr. Merritt explains God's commands for us to remain sexually pure.
"Because sex drive is God-given, it must therefore be God-guided. God has a plan, a place, a purpose, and even the specific people that He says should and can have sex. When that plan is followed and when that purpose is fulfilled that is when sex is best." --Dr. Merritt
