Greatness in God's Kingdom is different than what we consider greatness in the world. The secret is not how many servants you have, but what kind of servant you are. The Bible shows us that the church is a body of ministers, with every person involved in ministry. As we determine to be the ministers Christ calls us to be, we begin to make an impact for Him in our world through the opportunities of service He prepares for us. In this message, Dr. Merritt focuses on the important and vital role that serving plays in the life of every believer. God designed you to make a difference. God made you the way you are so you could do what He wants you to do. You are unique because you have unique ministry to fulfill and a unique service to perform.
"Every Christ-follower has been called to serve, and every Christ-follower has been called to service. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean obviously that every Christ-follower is called to pastor, or called to work full-time in a church. But at the same time, every Christ-follower is called to full-time Christian service. You’ll find in the Bible that the word ministry is the same as the word service. You’ll find that the word service is the same as ministry. A servant in the Bible is a minister. A minister in the Bible is simply a servant." --Dr. Merritt
