Scriptures: Genesis 5:24, 5:21-22, Jeremiah 29:13, Hebrews 11:5, 2 Peter 3:9
Both Genesis and Hebrews tell brief accounts of a man named Enoch. We do not know much about him--but there is one sentence describing him with great substance--"Enoch walked with God" (Genesis 5:24). Enoch was one of only two human beings to live, but to never die--the other was Elijah. The Bible says of Enoch, "...God took him." From Enoch's life we have to ask, what does it really mean to walk with God? More importantly, can you and I walk with God as well? In this message, Dr. Merritt shares biblical principles we can learn from the life of Enoch. Learn how to walk with God daily, intimately and powerfully, so that you too can have a life that is summed up in a short, rich and wonderful testimony--"One that walked with God."
"If you are going to have a walk with God and the kind of intimate fellowship with God that Enoch did, you are going to have to take the time to do it. If you are not walking with God you are walking away from God.You don't need to spend time with God because God needs to get to know you. God knows you already inside and out, upside down, backwards and front wards, north and south. The reason why you need to spend time with God is so you can get to know Him, because the better you know God the more you will be like God." --Dr. Merritt
