Scripture: Matthew 6:9-10
Jesus taught the disciples how to pray through what we commonly call "The Lord's Prayer". This prayer is a pattern that lays down some principles that will teach us how to pray. It is not a mechanical prayer. It is a model prayer. After He taught them where to pray, He told them Who should be the focus of our prayers. How do you get into prayer? Where do you start? When you walk into God's presence what is the first thing you ought to say? Let's listen to what Jesus said.
"Prayer ought to always begin with God not with you. When you put God into proper perspective it puts your problems into proper perspective." --Dr. Merritt
