Scriptures: Romans 12:1-2, 1 John 2:17
When it comes to knowing God's will for life, we can take comfort in the fact that God is more anxious for you to know His will than you are to find it. In fact, it is not really your responsibility to find the will of God; it is your responsibility to do the will of God. If God wants you to know His will it is His responsibility to reveal it; it is your responsibility to obey it. In this message, Dr. Merritt talks about the will of God beginning with an act of surrender to Him. When you sacrifice something you give up all possession and all ownership. That is precisely what the Lord demands from us; a total sacrifice of our life every day. That’s why He calls our lives in Him a “living sacrifice.”
"You can worship God in school by doing your best work, being obedient to your teachers, and sharing the Lord with your classmates. You can worship God in your job by giving a full day’s work for a full day’s pay; by going over, above, and beyond your duty of being kind to your boss or to your employees. Worship is something we are to do every moment of every day. That is the first step of finding God’s will--surrendering your life to His will." --Dr. Merritt
