Scriptures: Matthew 5:27-30, 1 Corinthians 6:9
There is nothing more devastating in a marriage than sexual immorality. Trust is lost, children are emotionally damaged and families are torn apart. Adultery is serious business to God. In fact it's so serious that it makes the Ten Commandments--twice! God created sex and wants us to enjoy it, but it must be inside the confines of marriage. This message is intended as a warning to those who are "flirting with disaster". Dr. Merritt points out the warning signs of impending marital doom of which we should be aware, and offers ways to avoid getting into compromising situations.
"This whole subject of sex, sexual purity and marriage is so important we just can’t pass over it even though I know it creates tension. If what we study will help prevent one affair, one divorce, one broken heart or one shattered family, it will be well worth the time we are going to spend talking about it. There is nothing more devastating to a marriage than sexual immorality." --Dr. Merritt
