There are people who don't know God and know they don't know God. They would make no pretense about it. There are people who don't know God, but they think they do. This includes a lot of religious people. There are people who know God, but they are not sure they know God. And finally, there are people who know God and know they know God. These are people who know God, have a deep personal relationship with God and you would never ever be able to convince them otherwise. The Apostle John referred to these types of people when he said "Now by this we know that we know Him" (1 John 2:3).
"Today the popular thing is to know yourself. Find out who you are. Get in touch with your inner feelings. Discover the real you. Let me let you in on a little secret--unless you get to know God, you will never get to know you." --Dr. Merritt
